Citizenship for US born kid

Any compile/direction on this

·        Kid born in US applying for Indian Passport/Indian Citizenship
·        In case if he gets his Indian Passport/Indian Citizenship will he be provided entry into US on say some dependent or other visa?

So it will be something like

Indian citizenship + Indian Passport and US Citizenship (as only kid can give this up after 18 years) + No US passport

asking this as US born kid can have only one Passport either Indian/US and I have read somewhere that being an US citizen he will need US passport to enter US.

Please share experience if any one already tried out this.

Thanks for all suggestions/discussions/questions/theories

Sending this compile as there are few more like me and this info might be helpful in deciding after weighing all options on citizenship/Passport for kids

Pulling my question here

·        Kid born in US applying for Indian Passport/Indian Citizenship
o   Yes you can get Indian passport and citizenship by all legal means J
o   Got confirmation from Indian Consulate. link for passport request http://www.indianconsulate.com/4PassportPioOci/Passport/2PassportOnlineProcedure.html
o   Also a note from Indian Consulate Once the Indian passport given to child, you need seek US visa for your child to travel back to USA please
·        In case if kid gets his Indian Passport/Indian Citizenship will he be provided entry into US on say some dependent or other visa?
o   Yes you end up into issues when trying to get back to US again for some possible Onsite assignments J
o   Confirmations from US Consulate
§  U.S. citizens who attempt to travel to the U.S. from a foreign country on foreign passports risk being denied boarding or re-entering pending acquisition of a valid U.S. passport.
§  For additional information  visit: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1753.html

So basically it’s a kind of DEADLOCK J
(main reason for this deadlock is that even if India make the kid Indian citizen and provides him PP. His US citizen ship still holds even if he does not have the PP.

“However, a person who acquires a foreign citizenship by applying for it may lose U.S. citizenship. In order to lose U.S. citizenship,
the law requires that the person must apply for the foreign citizenship voluntarily, by free choice, and with the intention to give up U.S. citizenship.”

And he can give up his US citizenship only when he is 14/18 subjected to different processes
)

I will like to appreciate Kiran Gorle for sharing is almost similar experience and pro/cons (as per laws) of both the options i.e. Indian PP/US PP for kids

And I was expecting such simple answers but instead got too many questions/suggestions/ movie contest etc. lol  so finally ended up writing to Consulates of both countries J

I hope this will help in weighing all the available options and then taking the best decision
