Where to buy Saffron in US to gift in India

In fact I gifted them to my relatives who are into saffron business, they acked it was good ---------------------------------------------------------------- Saffron doesn’t grow in USA It grows in Spain, Greece, turkey dubai and Kashmir Mainly it needs Mediterranean weather Like everything US import all that it consumes Go to amazon and buy the mehr or Spanish saffron it is quite good, other option is to buy in dubai on your way back The one you get it in indian stores is not worth, no color no fragrance no taste. I ordered last week and they delivered in 5 business days. It is very good quality. Sometimes it will be available in local Costco store also. Saffron from Costco online is very good quality, personally used. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Its not true Sayali. We also heard same thing and bought same from here when I was in US last time but honestly what we got in India is better and you can ask someone to come with it and buy one here and compare yourself but according to me it is better in India. In Gujarat we can have better saffron. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I usually get from Trader Joes to gift back in India. They have small bottles for $6 that can be gifted. Try use it if its preferred for your family before you buy in large quantity. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I took couple of times from swagat and mayuri. “The gathering of Saffron” is a Spanish brand, and pretty good. You can get this in Mayuri or Apna Bazar. ---------------------------------------------------------------- It’s true – because the chances of getting duplicate saffron over here is almost non-existent. You can pick it up from Indian stores – generally they don’t keep it on the aisles, but have it with them near the cash counter locked up, because it’s a little expensive. Also make sure the saffron is imported from Spain – I don’t think there is locally grown/made saffron in the states.
